The Person Behind the Practice
How I Work
I use an integrative approach, which means I do not rely on a single rigid way of counselling.
People do not fit neatly into one method.
I draw from different therapeutic approaches and tailor our work to what you need, what feels helpful, and what genuinely makes sense in your life.
Some sessions may involve talking through what has happened. Others may focus on understanding patterns, exploring emotions, or taking small, manageable steps between sessions.
I will not give you resources simply for the sake of giving you something to do. Anything we use will have a purpose and feel relevant to what we are working on together.
What sessions with me may feel like
Counselling with me is a real conversation.
You are welcome to arrive exactly as you are. You might feel quiet, overwhelmed, uncertain, or unsure where to begin. You might use humour to get through difficult things. All of that is welcome.
Sometimes we will talk things through. Sometimes we will slow down and sit with what is coming up. At other times, I may gently challenge a thought or pattern that is no longer helping you.
We will work collaboratively and move at a pace that feels manageable.
You do not need to arrive with the right words.
We can work them out together.

Wondering whether I am the right counsellor for you?
You do not need to decide everything today.
You are welcome to book a complimentary 15-minute discovery call. We can have a relaxed conversation about what you are looking for, answer any questions you may have, and see whether working together feels like the right fit.
There is no pressure or obligation to book a counselling session afterwards.
We go at your pace. We can take it one step at a time.
