Individual Counselling
You have finally stopped for the day, but your mind is still going.
You are replaying conversations, questioning whether you handled things properly and thinking about everything waiting for you tomorrow.
You keep telling yourself to switch off, but your mind finds one more thing to worry about.
From the outside, you probably look like you are coping. You show up, get things done and keep being the person others can rely on. What people may not see is how much energy it takes to hold everything together or how rarely you feel properly settled.
You are tired, but it is more than needing an early night. You are tired of overthinking, carrying everyone else and feeling as though you always need to stay one step ahead.
You may have become very good at pushing through.
Perhaps you tell yourself that things are not bad enough for counselling. You might compare yourself to other people or think you should be able to work this out alone.
You do not need to be in crisis to deserve support.
Counselling gives you somewhere to slow things down, understand what is happening beneath the surface and begin making sense of the thoughts, emotions and patterns that have been weighing on you.
Together, we may work through:
anxiety, stress and emotional exhaustion
overthinking and difficulty switching off
people-pleasing and feeling responsible for others
past experiences that continue to affect you
relationship patterns, boundaries and self-worth
feeling more grounded and confident in yourself
How we will work together:
I use an integrative approach, which means I do not expect you to fit into one rigid way of doing counselling.
We will work together to understand what is happening, explore where certain patterns may have come from and find practical ways to help you feel calmer and more in control.
You do not need to know exactly what to say.
You can arrive feeling unsure, overwhelmed or unable to explain why things feel so heavy. We can begin there.
If part of you has been thinking, “I think I need some support,” that is enough.
You are welcome to get in touch with us to learn more or book a complimentary 15-minute discovery call. We can have an informal conversation, talk about what you are looking for and see whether I feel like the right counsellor for you.
